Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) / Advanced Paramedic Practitioner (APP)

Part time/Full time

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Advanced Practitioner to join our Clinical Team based at Firs House Surgery in Histon

Salary TBC dependant on qualification and experience

We are a well-established, friendly and forward- thinking training Practice who are committed to delivering high quality care and the continued development of our Practice workforce. We are looking for an experienced Advanced Practitioner to work as part of our supportive and dedicated primary care clinical team.

Applicants are welcomed from all backgrounds. An MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice or a Minor Illness/Advanced Clinical Assessment qualification is essential and independent prescribing skills are strongly desirable.

Our team has 5 Partners, 2 Salaried GP’s, 1 Advanced Nurse Practitioner, 5 Nurses, 2 HCA’s and excellent administrative support.

Job summary:

In summary, the postholder is an experienced Nurse/Paramedic who, acting within their professional boundaries, will provide care for the presenting patient from initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of care. They will demonstrate safe, clinical decision-making and expert care, including assessment and diagnostic skills for patients within the Practice.

They will formulate a management plan using other sources of healthcare professionals (such as a GP or ANP) if needed, to support in aiding diagnosis and deciding on any subsequent course of action. They will prescribe medications within their clinical competence.

The role primarily involves booked surgeries that focus on same day care requests and ongoing chronic disease management. Dealing with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all registered patients.

Home visits will be required.
