Access to Records

In accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998, Access to Health Records Act and current GDPR legislation, patients may request to see their medical records. This is known as a Subject Access Request. Such requests should be made through the practice manager and may be subject to an administration charge. No information will be released without the patient consent unless we are legally obliged to do so.  We are legally obliged to provide this information within one calendar month unless there are mitigating circumstances.    There may be charges for access requests from third parties, such as insurance companies or solicitors.
